Job Overview

Due to growth in the PyroGenesis Additive division we are looking to expand our business development activity 

Reporting to the VP Additive, the Sales Manager is responsible for developing the sales channel and sales for the Additive division. This entails staying current with the Additive Manufacturing industry, building out their network, generating leads, and ultimately generating sales growth. 

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Develop a solid network in the Additive sector
  • Obtain competitive information, which includes but is not limited to, competitors, competitor products and prices, trends, and risks to the Additive business.
  • Learn and understand the technical requirements for powders in the Additive Manufacturing sector. Use a technical and value-based selling strategy
  • Identify target companies and decision-makers who have the authority to place purchase orders for the product
  • Ability to follow through with customer product qualification when needed
  • Attend trade shows as required
  • Enter all relevant information into, and maintain, the CRM
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales budgets
  • Project expected sales volume for existing and new products
  • Work closely with all members of the Additive team in order to ensure the smooth transmission of information, ensure the smooth entry of orders, and the smooth delivery of quality products
  • Visit clients as required
  • International travel may be required
  • Hybrid work available (minimum of 3 days / week in the office).

Education & Qualifications

  • Materials Engineering or similar education is an asset 
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM  
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • English is required for this position as we serve an international clientele


  • Proven market development and sales increase achievements in a materials field 
  • Be a self starter  
  • Ability to work in a team  
  • Possess excellent negotiation and sales ability
  • Experience in the additive manufacturing industry or mining and metals industry preferred
  • Organized and diligent with data entry and transmission
  • Be available to make short and occasional international trips as needed Have experience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100
