Job Overview
Reporting to Production Manager, the operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the plasma atomization unit(s) and/or post-processing equipment. The operator needs to be meticulous and solution oriented. He will work in collaboration with other departments such as quality assurance, quality control, and maintenance.
Responsibilities & Tasks
- Operate and maintain plasma atomization unit(s) and/or post-processing equipment
- Ensure the operation activities are carried-out on time in accordance with production schedule
- Ensure all equipment maintenance programs are in place
- Follow industrial hygiene regulations
- Follow health and safety regulations
- Follow best workplace practices
- Work with a quality mindset and work closely with quality control department
- Handle hazardous materials
- Participate in the diagnosis of problems
Education & Qualifications
- College/CEGEP education
- Demonstrated leadership skills, positive attitude, and good communication skills
- Ability to handle weights of approximately 40lbs
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical effort
- Ability to work alone or in a team and under pressure
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, rotating night, and day over two weeks or weekends
- Ability to work outside of their usual shift hours
- Perform other duties as required by the immediate supervisor and for which the person is qualified
Experience
- 3 years of relevant experience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 field (asset)
- Experience in hazardous material handling (asset)
