Peter Pascali, MBA – Chief Executive

Peter Pascali

After graduating with an MBA from McGill University, Montreal in 1983, Peter became an investment banker specialising in mergers and acquisitions work and then public offerings. Peter joined the company in 1992 where he has been responsible for developing the business strategy and marketing focus for commercialising the technologies and running the business.

Gillian Holcroft, MEng – Chief Operating Officer

Gillian Holcroft

Gillian has a Masters and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University, Montreal. After graduating in 1989, Gillian joined Noranda Inc where she was involved in many aspects of the companies operations from production, technology development, business modeling and was involved in the design, engineering and start-up of a ¾ of a billion (CDN$) production facility. She joined the company in 2003 as product development manager and is now the Chief Operating Officer.

Antonio Pisegna, CA – Finance Director

Antonio Pisegna

Antonio joined the company as financial controller in 1997 and became Finance Director in 2005. From 1992 to 1997 he worked for Ernst & Young in Montreal, where he was principally involved in audit and tax work.

John Kutner, FCA – Non-executive Chairman

John has significant experience in the waste management industry having worked for Veolia Environmental Services (previously Onyx Environmental Group) since its establishment in the UK in 1990, initially as Financial Director and then as Deputy Chief Executive. At Onyx, John was closely involved in building the company into one of the UK’s leading waste management companies and was responsible for negotiating and securing several long term integrated waste management contracts. John was appointed as a non-executive Director of the Company in June 2006.

John Huntington, FCA – Non-executive Director

John has over 17 years’ experience in the waste industry. In 1996, he led a management buy-out of Darrington Quarries Limited, a landfill and quarry business, which was bought in 1997 by Waste Recycling Group. He then joined Waste Recycling Group as group operations director, becoming managing director in 1999. He has been Chief Executive of Augean plc, an AIM-listed hazardous waste management company, since December 2004. John was appointed as a non-executive Director of the Company in June 2006.

Jonathan Dodge – Non-executive Director

Jonathan has significant expertise in corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions and financing in the USA. He also has experience in assisting growing companies from his time at two NASDAQ-listed companies. He graduated from Georgetown University Law School in 1977 and went into legal practice in New York. He was appointed as a director of PyroGenesis’ predecessor company. in 1996 and has been appointed as a non-executive Director of the Company in June 2006.

Senior management

Pierre Carabin, MEng – Chief Engineer

Pierre joined the company in 1998 and has over 14 years’ experience in chemical process engineering and process development. He has Bachelor’s and Master’s chemical engineering degrees from McGill University, Montreal. He is now involved in the design, development, operation and promotion of the Company’s plasma technologies for waste treatment. To date he has authored more than 20 technical papers and presentations.

Philippe Chevalier, Eng – Electrical and Automation Manager

Philippe Chevalier

Philippe joined the company as an electrical and automation engineer after graduating from University in 2000. He is responsible for the electrical and automation process of the Company’s plasma systems.

Aida Kaldas, Eng, MScA – Technology Development Manager

Aida Kaldas

Aida joined the company in 2001 as the product development manager for marine systems. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Cairo University in 1978 and a Master’s degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1981. Prior to PyroGenesis, Aida worked for 20 years as a process engineer at CIL Explosives, leading a team of engineers, scientists and technicians in the research, development and implementation of technologies.
